The time reserved just for you is as much an opportunity for you to learn more about your treatment options as it is a chance for us to learn more about you as a patient. We begin by obtaining a detailed medical history to give us a better understanding of your overall health status and how your orthodontic care will fit into your lifestyle. Following a tour of our office and an introduction to several of our staff members, records are completed including digital x-rays and clinical photographs. Then, a digital record of your bite and teeth is taken with an iTero® Intraoral Digital Scanner – no gooey, messy impressions. After using the scan to generate a 3D Smile Simulation to show you how great your teeth can look after orthodontics, our treatment coordinators will meet with you one-on-one to welcome you to our orthodontic family and get you started on your orthodontic journey! Dr. Fleming or Dr. will then perform a thorough case appraisal including an assessment of your teeth, bite, skeletal form, and oral musculature along with an analysis of your digital records. The clinical exam is followed by a discussion with the doctor about your goals and priorities, treatment options, and estimated treatment time. It’s important to our doctors to answer absolutely every one of your questions about their backgrounds and experience, the practice, your case, and their approach for your orthodontic correction.
